PLC vehicle theft by age in Australia
Use these visualisations to analyse the PLC age profile of thefts and registrations in
Australia and every state/territory over the last 5 calendar years.
Short term thefts are defined as motor vehicles that were stolen and recovered, profit motivated thefts were those stolen and not recovered. Recovery status is as 31 January 2017 for all states/territories except for TAS which is at 31 December 2016.
When selecting any state/territory, the "AUS minus State/Territory" denotes the percent of Short term and Profit motivated thefts of whole of Australia minus the State/Territory selected.
